11:19 pm
fredericksburg and around the richmond area. this is the snow right around charlottesville just to the west of the blue ridge here. i would not be surprised for some of this to start out as snow even around the d.c. metro area and points just to the west. that's why we're looking at the winter weather advisory. they've been seeing the snow for the last two hours. there is heavier rain starting to make its way up and take a look at both of these storms. once again, these two storms coming together. a classic scenario for a monster storm. they come together just off the coast. they bomb off the coast and pinpoint areas to the north. new york, province and up towards boston. the rain moves in by early tomorrow morning, right around rush hour. that's when we'll see the heaviest rain. the heaviest should be just down to the south and east of washington. down towards the southern portions of maryland. back to the west, this could be an area of rain, snow, sleet, even some freezing rain. and once again, we could see some problems early. the storm moves out of here by 2:00 in the afternoon.
11:20 pm
so we're done with this storm as far as precipitation goes. what comes in next for us is the wind and the very cold air. but the snow is in new york. the snow is in boston. if you have plans to travel up that way this weekend, you might want to think about it, because it's really going to be quite bad there. the winds could be gusting upwards of 50 to 60 miles an hour. let's take a look at the snowfall. this is just from one computer model. nearly 15 inches potentially in new york. some of the latest actually give a little more. boston, nearly 32 inches of snow. for us, 1.3. that's what this says. i don't think we'll see that at all here. it's all going to be north and east. what i do think we'll see, though, is the winds. take a look at these wind gusts, tomorrow afternoon, or rather saturday afternoon around noon, 60-mile-an-hour winds in boston. 60 in providence. for us, over 40. so we're going to have 40-mile-an-hour winds here. combine that with cold temperatures. wind chills all day for us. we'll stay in the 20s. so a nuisance storm for us. but a blizzard to major travel disruptions all along the east coast. if you're flying over the next couple of days, you want to make
11:21 pm
sure you call ahead, no matter where you are. te a big concern here. we're dipping close to the freezing mark to the north and west. and that's where we could have problems tomorrow morning. that's why we have the winter weather advisory. it now includes montgomery and howard county, baltimore and loudoun counkoucounty. watch out in this area if you're making your way in early tomorrow morning. we're going to continue to watch it right here throughout the day. now, the heaviest will be in the morning and you want to look out for that messy rush hour. as far as temperatures go the next couple of days, a high of about 38 degrees on our saturday with wind which he wills in the 20s. 47 degrees on monday. or 47 on sunday rather with another good chance of rain coming up on monday. temperatures around 52 degrees. one heck of a storm, not just for them, but for us, too. >> good weekend to hunker down. >> i would say so. >> thanks, todd. going to sports now, what in the world is going
